Topics covered: Leadership
Leaders of art organizations are charged with communicating and enacting the mission of their organization while they create and navigate opportunities to positively impact their community. In these challenging times how can the leadership within an organization help stakeholders see new possibilities when faced with uncertainty or change? A work environment that invites collaboration, inquiry, and creative problem solving can be developed using theatre and movement based approaches to energize thinking. This workshop will include participatory learning activities aimed toward helping you facilitate community building and effective action within your organization. Participants will engage in an active exploration of arts approaches they could use in the development and evaluation of quality programming and considered risk taking. Having a background in dance or theatre is not necessary to reap the benefits of thinking through and with these disciplines. Bring new life and vitality to your organization. Learn how to move through organizational challenges - and take a bow for your facilitation skills that empower vision, discussion, active listening, and action.
